What we process

Technical data. The server hosting the site automatically logs basic technical data on every visit (IP address, time, requested page, browser type). It is used only to keep the site working and secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted automatically after a short time.

E-mail. If you write to us, your address and message are used only to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and are kept in the mailbox as long as needed for the correspondence.

The site has no user accounts or newsletters. Its only form is the book order form.

Book orders

Controller for order data is the seller of the books: Domen Ambrož s.p. (UgodneStrani.si), Lipce 57, 4273 Blejska Dobrava, Slovenia, tax number 69953295, e-mail .

Data: name, delivery address, e-mail address, phone number (optional), company name and tax number (if you want a company invoice), your note, and the order itself (book, copies, amount, order number).

Purpose and legal basis: processing the order, payment, invoicing and delivery (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and keeping invoices as required by tax law (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)).

Recipients: Pošta Slovenije receives your name and address to deliver the parcel. The hosting and e-mail providers process the data as processors.

Retention: orders are kept on the web server for 12 months and then deleted automatically. Invoices and related data are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Abuse protection: a keyed hash of your IP address is kept for at most one hour, and a keyed hash of the e-mail address we sent the order confirmation to for at most 24 hours.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and all other content are served from our own server, so your browser doesn’t send data to third parties when you visit. Your choice of light or dark mode is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to the server.

Links to other sites (e.g. COBISS, journals, DOI) lead to sites of other controllers, whose own privacy policies apply.

Who has access

Technical data is processed by the hosting provider. We don’t sell data or pass it to third parties for their own purposes.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing or data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send your request to the e-mail address above (for orders: ); we will reply within one month.

If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si (opens in a new window).
